MIKKEEE!!! Good to have you back, like Kman said, I haven't been able to go to the gym in forever, but I am going to go tonight. Thinking about buying a power rack weights, and bench so I can do it whenever I am free at home. Glad to have ya back.

Ok so i've got a few different ideas as to how my workout will go. Heres the first idea, stolen from one of dan johns articles

Saturday- Competition lift days
Squat- 1x1, 5x3
Bench- 1x1, 5x3
Deadlift- 1x1, 5x3

saturdays will be used to work up to max (i.e. 1x1) then drop the weight back to add some volume (i.e. 5x3)

Sunday- Accessory day
BB row- 3x8 or 5x3
Military press- 3x8 or 5x3
BB curl or hammer curl- 3x8 or 5x3
Dips- 3x8 or 5x3

Sundays are for accessory lifts and i will alternate the set/rep schemes. I may add in some general conditioning work like farmers walks, sled drags, or complexes

Wednesday- General Fitness/ fun day
Clean and jerk- 5x3
Front squats- 5x3
Fun stuff*

Wednesdays are for just general exercises to help me perform better in the real world, and to do some fun stuff whatever that may be.

so thats the idea, i may mix sunday and wednesdays workouts together and use sundays to really focus on conditioning stuff

I like the plan but are those the only days you can lift? Just wondering why you'd want to lift two days in a row unless that's your only option

no but since i have saturdays and sundays off i can actually devote some more time. plus i noticed when i tried gtg that 2 days in a row of the same lifts didnt cause a problem, so i figured two big days in a row with different exercises might not be so bad, i may alternate squats and deads on saturday tho

sounds like a plan. i was just thinking that dips might be a bi*ch if your chest is sore from benching the day before

Dips really hit my tris more, plus i stay pretty upright, hell its just an idea and subject to change with little or no warning
