Video looked good, do you use versa grips on everything?
Thanks Jeremy.

I use Versa Gripps on all pulling movements. I know I can deadlift with an alternating grip and pull just about any weight, but I like to train with a DOH grip on deads just for convenience.

I have the feeling (watching your video), that you train more biceps than back in the dumbbell rows.
I don't see scapulae action.
Sure it's only what it seems, but you know better, you are doing the exercise, and you can make adjustments if it needed, I can't understand if it's feeling that way just by watching a video.

That doesn't mean anything, neither it means that your back isn't getting a hit, just only that your biceps are getting a decent work from a back workout, and surely a strong ass back workout.

It can be hard to tell from the video, but I do focus heavily on pulling with my elbows and contracting my back and scapula. I try to mix that evenly with pure power, if that makes sense. Using 155 on rows was new, and I definitely need to make some minor adjustments.

My back is actually incredible sore today, which rarely happens.

I will admit, I could use a lighter weight and focus more on contraction. Back work is always a battle and a balancing act for me between power and contraction.

I have really sensitive bicep tendons and connective tissue, and they don't like to take a beating, so I think I have mastered the act of using them as little as possible during heavy rows. But, with that said, I think you are right. I still think my biceps are hit harder on back day. I think the indirect work is causing most of my bicep size.

I am open to any advice on how better to mix heavy weight and good contraction.
