Deadlift is such a puzzle for me. I tried only singles all last year and they did nothing for my total. Moved to low rep sets and bam! Not saying this is the case for everyone, but merely saying that once the weight gets heavy you never know what's going to trigger a new PR.

Sat - 19 Jun 10 - York Supersets
Squats+pullovers: warmup@10*315+bar, 5*405+55, 5*425+75, 5*435+85, 5*445+85
Bench+BTN presses:warmup@10*135+95, 5*185+115, 5*205+135, 5*215+4*135
T-Bars+DB Curls w/fat gripz: 5*135+55, 5*160+65, 5*175+75, 5*180+55
Abs: warmup with 25 incl situps@4th/mid position, 25 side bends, 25 ab wheel
4 sets of 8 incl situps (1st/lowest position-3rd-5th-7th/highest), 50 side bends, 50 ab wheel

This workout was a mother****er!!! I feel incredible though after that. I only rested 30 seconds between supersets which basically had a cardio effect as well. I really think this with my more intense ab work will help me lean up in the belly. Oh, and Steve, I believe I won!!!

Beastly squats. Thanks for the challenge. And glad we both succeeded. Now on to 500x5...and 600x1...

Hell yes.

And for me...I love succeeding through simplicity. Not hating on anyone that changes programs, but things like muscle confusion drive me bonkers. I love crushing PRs using the same approach for 23 years.

Sun - 20 Jun 10 - Fun cardio

We went swimming. I probably only did 5-10 actual laps and the pool was oddly shaped (definitely not olympic size) so I'm not sure what kind of distance I did with the laps and playing with the kids but we were there for like 2 hours and it was a blast and I felt it all over.

Mon - 21 Jun 10 - Abs only
20 situps & 50 ab wheel
20 oblique situps & 50 ab wheel
20 crunches & 50 ab wheel
20 jack knives & 50 ab wheel
