19 May 2010

Proper run of the 70s Big May Challenge.

Bench
45 x 5
65 x 5
95 x 15

Squat
45 x 5
95 x 5
135 x 5 (admittedly weak sauce)

Deadlift
135 x 15

Sit ups (swiss ball)
3 sets of 15

Hip thrusty sex exercise thing (swiss ball)
3 sets 5

Plank (swiss ball... sensing a pattern?)
2 sets 25 seconds.

Squats were kinda wobbly so I didn't push it.

22 May 2010

warm-up walk
foam roller
Dutch Lowy

Hey... the Flyers game was on the big screen in the gym, I took my time getting good and warm.

Squat
45 x 3
70 x 3
85 x 3
----belt----
95 x 3
115 x 3
135 x 3
155 x 3
165 x 3

I think my squat days are going to look like this from now on. Multiple sets of 3s or 2s - I need the technique work, and the 5/3/1 template doesn't give me enough.

What is "Dutch upper body"?

Some sort of warm up protocol?

Good workouts. In all honestly we know the Bruins should of won that series so please take your flyer spirit elsewhere

Yes.

Some days I do just the upper body or lower if I'm in a hurry. Some days I do it all. Some days I just watch it and drool.

Nice benching. Do you intend to stick with board press for the bench days as your main lift, or are you going to switch it to regular bench for the other waves of 5/3/1?

that's a solid bench....nice work! i know that 175 if you could get it for one full would have won at the last PL meet at my gym. my trainer took the honors last time around with a 165. so 175 would be huge. have you checked to see where you would stand against the competition near you yet?
