I'm doing regular bench as the main exercise, sorry for the confusion. 5/3/1 warm up means I used my warm up weight (55, 75, and 85). I am going to stick with board presses for a bit as assistance. They really point out the weak points in the chain.

competition near me blows me outta the water. Went to pa state push/pull as a spectator and watched a teeny girl put up 190 something.

I think my squat days are going to look like this from now on. Multiple sets of 3s or 2s - I need the technique work, and the 5/3/1 template doesn't give me enough.
Why not just add in some Dynamic Effort Squats?, 8sets of 1-3 reps, @50/55/60%, just to follow your 5/3/1 template. Then again I suggest this because I personally can only repeat sets if they are for "SPEED", otherwise I put an all out effort and I retire lol.

Great lifting, keep up the hard work!

I am shocked that the competition is so stiff around there. I have a feeling around Wisconsin you could lift the bar off the ground by itself and take 1st.

Penn State PL team comes down to a lot of meets I do, couple high schools with PL teams that have more girls on it than guys. I also routinely get outlifted by a grandma from Sayre, PA (Shirley Cole). She just pulled 361 at women's nationals, squatted 260 something. The last time I lifted against her she made me her bitch on bench too. I am blessed to be a little fish in a big pond of strong women.
