Should I try my one rep max on my first day back in the gym. And after that day i start about 60 pounds lighter than that and add 5 pounds each week so i dont stall out.

I hear ya bro. I am set on doing the reg park as we set it up do wrist work but put in curls for that. Im trying to keep my mind set on doing the reg park lol its just hard with all the routines floating around i look for the best one but.........Thing is there is NO best routine its whatever works for me so im gonna give reg park a try for probably 8 weeks and if im progressing i will keep it going

Default Some tips and help

Guys I need some suggestions. When i quit working out i could bench 185 for reps and 205x2 this is just an example no need to post all my stats. I was wondering If since i been out a few months and probably dropped some of that muscle should I start out fresh. Since im doing a 5x5 setup i was actually thinking of dropping a good bit and working back up.
Something like

135x5
135x5
LIKE THIS AND ASS 5 POUNDS WEEKLY SO NEXT WEEK

I just need some suggestions guys

start low and if it feels extremely ****ing easy, maybe add 10 lbs some of the weeks.

Out of curiosity what were your old PRs for squat, row, dl, oh, ect?

Well i never pushed my squat i usually would work with 300 but one day when a friend challenged me i hit 355x4 370x2 and i got up under 405 but kind of fell and the safety bars caught the weight lol.

Deadlift for me was very weak 285 was always my max

THIS TIME IM LOOKIN TO BLOW EVERYTHING UP I WONT STAND FOR NOTHING UNDER 400 POUNDS IM LOOKING TO TRAIN,TRAIN,TRAIN FOR YEARS AND WHEN I HIT 400 IN BENCH IM STILL GOING TO KEEP GOING

If you were benching 180 for reps, I would do something like your example, except one more set at 135:

WEEK 1
95x5
95x5
135x5
135x5
135x5

Then I would keep ramming more weight until 5's failed you.
