I've got a good cutting routine too if you wanna take a look. But I warn you now it's a little on the mad side.

I've been horrible with my diet as of late.. I always thought I was eating enough, but with such low carbs I was lucky to top 2500.. That's not going to do much for gains...

The only thing holding me back from 5/3/1 is I know it works best when done over time, versus just a few months...I can cut for 6-8 weeks hardcore, with good diet, full body 3x a week, and running, and that should help lean me out, at least somewhat.. Then possibly start 5/3/1 at Summers end to run through the Winter..

Default Damnit...

So I just grabbed my lunch, grilled chicken with rice pilaf...a fe wminutes in the microwave and I'm starving... First bite was great...second bite I noticed something strange.. Then the 3rd and 4th bites almost made me gag... Hops.

Yes, hops like beer hops. I made some Imperial IPA last weekend, and I used the same tupperware to measure out and hold the hops. I washed them, but apparently not enough. I love hops, but this is like eating a bowl of Cascade hops, with a chicken and rice texture...

So I have no lunch now, and no money to go buy any.... I think I have a few bucks in my truck, might have to grab some pizza..only thing on base I cna get to before my eating time is over...but pizza is so bad for me..but it tastes so yummy!

Arghghg....note to self..let hop containers soak in very hot water with lots of soap and rinse very well in the future...

So almost 45 minutes later I'm eating.. A fried chicken tender with fries basket. It's all I cound find here..pizza shop was out of slices, BK was closed, Lesters was out of food, no DD..WTF! This BS is so bad for me, and I hate eating lunch so late....it almost makes not even want to work out today, but it is chest and legs, and I love the post-session feeling of chest and legs about to explode.

I'm going to channel my fury into a muscle destroying session later today....

Having it once won't hurt your gains and pumps some more cals into daily intake which, sounds like you need. Don't think about it, just eat and move on, key is not to repeat it.

As far as your changing routines this is MO.... Your coming into summer I always like to cut in summer, lose some pounds aim for the beach bod so to speak.

So cutting for the next few weeks (6-8) should get you down to a nice base to start 5/3/1 for the winter cos as you say it takes time.

Default **** it!

Today I did nothing. I got home, felt like crap and didn't want to lift. First time in a long time I just didn't want to lift... I had energy, and lost it before leaving work...

Dinner was a small grilled chicken sub and a slice of pizza......and I'm having a F'ing Kit Kat bar later, 'cause it was staring at me in the store..

Not sure if I'm going to lift tomorrow. I have a ton of **** to do after work..will try to get something in...

Default 4 days of nothing...

Ya ever see that movie Office Space? You know that line where Peter said he did absolutly nothing, and it was the greatest thing ever?..... Yeah, that was my weekend...

I've felt like crap for a few days, but am much better today. On Thursday and Friday I had zero energy to lift, so I just rested and stretched a bit.. Saturday was cold and rainy, so nothing to done. And Sunday was spent mostly indoors all day sleeping.

So back at it, sort of. I'm going to run a deload today and tomorrow...and then possibly test for maxes at the end of the week. After that, I'm thinking of going back to cutting for a while. I'm going to rework a new diet plan, and workout schedule. Looking at 3 session per week in the A.M., with running and HIIT on off days. Diet will be a Keto-Velocity hybrid. Basically keto as the main, with Velocity diet for the off days.. I lost some good weight on keto last year, and I'll be careful not to go over on carbs like I did before. I'm going to shoot for as low as possible..no candy, no breads, no sugars... It will be a CKD style, with a carb-up each week from Fri Night to Sun Morn....

Lots of stretching, and lots of sweating....

Today will work on chest and legs.. Full details of above to be posted later this week...

Hope you hit some crazy new maxes. I love weekends like that where I do nothing. I wish I could do that every weekend.

Thanks BTB...I'm quietly hoping after the rest and a little deload warm up I can put up 4, maybe 5 new PRs... Looking to max out on Flat Press, OH Press, Squat, and possibly Deadlift if I can work a better grip. I know I have the 300 in me, maybe a bit more. Once I get back into a gym enviroment, I'll have other people around to help with spotting if I need it...but for now, it's all me solo..
