Paused Bench Press: 3 sets of 1 with 165 + 120 in chains

Clean & Strict Press: 1x1 with 190.5 (6lb PR), then a failed attempt w/ 199.3

^ I cleaned 199, but couldn't strict press it. Barely got it going. I should've tried ~195, not 199.

- I'm possibly switching to the Clean & Push Press. I'll keep doing the Behind-The-Neck Push Press, in the rack, every other week.

Flat Dumbbell Bench Press: 3 sets of 7 with 85s

EZ-Bar Skullcrusher: 3 sets of 7 with 80

Deadlift: 1x1 with 495 + 80 in chains, then failed 495 + 100 (almost finished)

^ This was my first time pulling with chains. Before this session, I only used chains with the bench press and floor press.

One-Hand Deadlift: 2 singles (each hand) with 355

^ no belt

Close-Grip Overhand Pull-Up: 3 sets of 6 with BW+25

Chest-Supported Dumbbell Row: 3 sets of 8 with 50s

^ new

IronMind Hub Lift: 2 sets of 1 (each hand) 27.5 (2.5lb PR)

^ I failed the 3rd single with both left and right.



12.25.11
Kettlebells


Swing: 1 set of 10 with 88

Snatch: 1 set of 1 with 88 (weight PR)

^ This was my first time doing a snatch with my 88lb 'bell. I failed the 2nd single with each hand.

Get-Up: 2 sets (2 left and 2 right, alternating) of 1 with 88 (sets PR)

^ I didn't go down with the kettlebell for the final Get-Up with my left hand because my lower back was cramping.

- All numbers are the same for each hand.

Thanks, Steve. I got the Conquer hat free, a couple of months ago, with an EliteFTS order. They probably still have 'em if you want to purchase one, but that deal is gone.

^ After watching the video, it looks like I'm still sinking the bar into my chest, not barely touching. The latter method of pausing is how I'm intending to pause at my upcoming meet and subsequent competitions, but it's difficult to break habits.

- I barely got the 4th rep of the 1st set, then failed near the top of the 4th rep of the 2nd set. After that, I settled for one more triple.

Behind-The-Neck Push Press: 3 sets of 3 with 189

^ This bar weighed 44lbs, not 45.

Flat Dumbbell Bench Press: 3 sets of 8 with 85s

EZ-Bar Skullcrusher: 9,8,6 with 80

Dumbbell Lateral Raise: 7 with 35s, 9 with 30s, 11 with 25s

^ I did those last two in drop-set fashion, but not 100% that those are the correct numbers.
