Yes I do a lot of heavy and light ab work, I do abs probably 4-5 times a week. Some days I do them really heavy sometimes I do them lighter. Definitely does help, and I train them pretty hard.

Thanks man!! LOL, I have just always trained them, so I got used to it, there are times when I slack off from them but I keep ab sessions short so they dont bother me.

I hope so I can not wait, I dont think this is my true one rep max because 295 for 3 was very hard but I think I will keep this up working up to a three rep max throw on a few more pounds and do a one rep max

today's workout, Dynamic Effort Squat

Squat 12x2
245 plus 2 bands, not sure of band weight labeled heavy

Rack Deadlifts (need the rack higher)
6 singles at 365

Leg Press- 250 to failure 25 reps

Hyperextensions 3x10 25 lbs

Barbell curls 85x3x8

Abs weighted situps

Felt really strong and fast in the squats today so I moved up the weight quite a bit, loving the Westside Methods, but I have been reading a lot about Doggcrap workouts and want some opinions on it, I would only use it to break up all of the powerlifting and kill my body for 2 weeks or so.

My Bulldozer Training is like Doggcrapp. Except without the failure. I believe Doggcrapp is very effective, but in the long term, I don't like the idea of training to failure over 50 times per week. My gut instinct tells me that this will add up by the time you're 40.

Doggcrapp DOES do slow, 6 second negatives, which is a good training method.

If you're only doing DC training in spurts, then the failure issue isn't that big for me.

One of my trainer/collaborators tried the doggcrapp stuff for a couple of weeks. I don't think he liked it very much. He has taken a liking to westside for skinny bastards(he's extremely lean)

Yes well westside seems to me to be a much better routine with better theories behind it, but whenever I read about a program I want to try it.
