i really have been having to push for reps. with squats im a lot less intune than with bench. i feel like i have nothing less and then i bust 3 more reps out.

i know you know this, but im just reminding you.
My current program is designed so that I can push hard at this stage. Go back and read what I've laid out.

Pay attention to the heavy moves and the medium moves and how I'm concentrating on a limited number of big mass builders. All the moves support each other. It's about focusing my attention. This program won't work forever, but it will move me a long way down the tracks.

Another aspect that I use to my advantage is diet. I'm not afraid to eat and get fat. You keep talking about how your weak, and fat, and how your eating crappy. While I do put some junk in me. I also make sure I'm eating good food to support my lifting. I have a big advantage on you in this area. I'm mobile,a nd have a job. If I'm out of what I need, I go get it. You have to put the pieces in place to build the house.

The last part of this puzzle is this. I still not quite as strong as I was at my best, so I have some memory that I'm working from. However, I've learned a lot in the last year, and I fully intend to push hard through slow downs that come my way.

Your ahead of me on some lifts right now. Watch out, I'm making a move.

So I went out to get some calf raises in. I knocked out:
3x14@290

Since I had 290 loaded on the bar, and I had my belt on, I went to a quarter squat. That felt good. I went a little deeper, that felt good. I got to, "JUST" parallel, and just got back up. I think I could have gone a little deeper, and still made it up. I don't think it would have been a green light in comp, but it was good enough for me to say, I hit 290.

Thats not bad considering yesterday was heavy squat day, and I'm tired. I don't have a rack or safety pins or spotters so this will have to do for my current, as of today max.

Nice job GL. For me, adding heavier weight on the squat is almost all mental. It feels so much different than a bench or deadlift. I think it's good that you got under that weight so you could mentally cross the bridge.

Light Weight Baby!

Default Friday Feb 19th

Great session today. Pushed hard on reps for progression on the heavy moves. At the end of todays session I threw the tape on my left arm while pumped up a bit, 16.25". Thats pretty big on a 5'6" body.

I was also seeing some good vascularity on my delts as I was working them. I'm liking what I'm seeing go on with this program. I'm tired at the end of the of the week, but I've also pushed HARD, on big moves. I feel about the same as I did last Friday. By Monday I was ready to hit it again. Another few weeks will tell me if I'm actually on a slow diminish of my CNS.

In case anybody did not see my Supp log. I'll be starting a cycle of Mass Addiction, two weeks from today. Per the contest rules I'm stating what all I'm taking.

On to todays numbers.

Deads
1x5@200
1x5@220
1x5@250
2-3-2@270,Up one rep from last session. Climbing the rep ladder.
1x10@200

Good pulls with these today. Really worked the posterior chain, and my back.
My back is starting to look proper from the heavy work.

Standing presses
1x5@90
1x5@110
1x5@@130
5-3-2@150 More reps here, good stuff.
1x12@90 Time to up the weight.

First set of presses @150 slight push press. The camera is sitting at an angle, I'm not.

Bench

3x10@160 up 10lbs. Good speed on the bar until last few reps.

Chins/Dips

8-8-6
10-10-10

Finished

What else can I say. I'm feeling great. I feel sorry for those bulking alongside me.

Thanks Ripper,

Will do. The vids help me as well. Form is important, and without a consistant training partner to correct me I need to see how I'm pulling, or pushing.

My Friend Tim is having some shoulder issues with his RC. He is just not able to work things right now. He's a great training partner when we can get together consistantly.
