Interesting approach. I have found cutting volume to be almost necessary on a caloric deficit. I am a little surprised to see how many calories you are eating. I am currently at 2400 per day, 210 protein and losing a pound a week at 235(currently).
I would guess you carry much more muscle on your frame then myself. You may want to monitor the weight lose and kick calories up if you drop too quickly. In my experience the faster I drop weight the more i lose muscle and strength.
