Viking strongman training 9/5/15

Log press
35kg,5 ,5 45kg,5 55kg,5
65kg, 11 reps in 1 minute.

Felt light happy with that as top weight for my category should get a few more on the day,

Rack deadlifts (knee height)
110kg, 5
145kg,5
180kg, 18reps in 1 minute

Again top weight I have to lift on the day only difference will be with barrels so was pretty happy thought i was only gonna get about 8,

Farmers walk 180kg (90kg each hand)
40 meters in 26seconds

Beat my best by 5secs so happy again

127kg tyre flip
30meters (14 flips) in 51secs

Again knocked 5 secs of my best and this tyre is bald as hell horrible to flip think the 1 on a day will be a bit more grippy so may shed a few more seconds we will see, Overall happy with today's training feeling confident that i will do well in my category,
Really started getting the reps since picking up my cardio a couple of weeks ago

Default I,A,W,A UK training journal

Full clean and jerk 12/5/15
30 kg, 3 40kg,3 50kg,3,3,3

I have decided to put my ego to one side stop power cleaning and snatching with big weights and terrible form and really get the depth and technique this felt very light but I think it is the way forward

British all round championship training

Reflex clean and push press
45kg,3 60,kg,3 73.75kg ,2
I actually got 3 on the last set but judges can be a bit picky and I slightly moved my feet so will have another go next time

Zercher
50kg,5 70kg,5 90kg,5 107.5kg,5 127.5kg,3

Managed to do a single of 157.5kg last time so dropped the weight and up the reps as wanna save by big lifts now but I'm not gonna lie that felt heavy

Hack lift
100kg,3 135kg,3 170kg, 3
Felt quite easy today

Regular training
Sandbag barrel clean and press
30kg sandbag , 5 reps
42kg barrel 5 reps
55kg sandbag ,2 reps
55kg does not do this bag justice its long awkward and impossible to grip was like wrestling the undertaker

2 finger deadlifts
60kg,1 80kg,1 115kg,1,1,1
They were painful but hey no pain no game

This was a killer workout really took it out of me but enjoyable as always

Great training going on here. With a bit of weird stuff along the way, lol. 2 finger deadlifts? Damn - haven't seen that kind of thing since, well, a while back around here. And zerchers... all kinds of interesting lifts.

Will definitely be following.

Thanks dray , I wouldn't personal choice to do zerchers or hack lifts but I do quite like a zercher even tough they hurt like hell,
As for finger dls I love the grip stuff
