Yeah well of course I have down time between the arm work and the chest/tricep work, I went earlier yesterday for the arm day, I'll be going tomorrow night for the chest/tricep work, so there will be sufficient rest time...

What did you have done? I had a dual bleeding lodged disc herniation in the L-4 L-5 with fusion on 2 points of my spinal cord from the damage...

Damn drop foot sucks doesn't it? I hate the feeling of instability!! Recently my outer left leg started going numb as well as the already numb inner left foot... Pisses me off!!

Herniated L4-L5 and L5-S1. Only L5-S1 was symptomatic so I had a lumbar microdiscectomy on that one. Much simpler surgery than yours! Fortunately, other than the occasional drop toe, I had a great recovery.

It does. I almost took a couple headers today hiking. I started catching my toe on the way back as I was getting fatigued. Nerve regeneration is slow, but it happens! Training hard is a great way to assist!

Yeah training hard does help, but obviously we have to be cautious when doing any compound movements that could be heavy loads/compress the spine (heavy bench, any dead lifts...etc).

I miss dead lifting!

I can imagine...

Dead lifting was my therapy.
My best pre-injury DL was 275. Pulled 405 after surgery.
