Oh ok. I used that app for awhile but quit using it because it was so buggy on my phone lol.

LOL at my kids running in and informing me that the show they where watching was over.

Overall good session and happy with the effort I put in. Lots to work on with my squatting technique.

Jan 15

NOT a 5/3/1 session...just something light and fun. I had low energy and have been fighting a wee bit of a cold so I decided to keep it really easy today.

Barbell Curl
45 lb x 15 reps 16
50 lb x 12 reps 16
55 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 8 reps 17
65 lb x 10 reps 18
Lying Barbell Triceps Extension ("Skullcrusher")
60 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 10 reps 17
EZ-Bar Curl
60 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 10 reps 17
60 lb x 10 reps 17
Push-Up
12 reps 18
12 reps 18
12 reps 18

In addition to tracking my training I've decided to track my diet as well; I am too fat (BF a little north of 20%) and want to get a handle on things.
I HATE dieting and HATE worrying everything I eat but I guess I HATE being this fat even more...

Here's today:

Calories:2,543
Carbs: 261
Fat: 66
Protein: 242

Everything meticulously measured and logged.

Looking forward to tomorrows 5/3/1 Press session

Pretty decent session…130 X 7 was a solid effort for me.

I know this seems like a lot of volume… here’s the breakdown:

• The first 4 sets are just super light warm-ups to get me into the grove and well…warm
• The next 6 sets are the traditional 5/3/1 warm-up and work sets
• The next 3 relatively heavy sets are Joker Sets (from Beyond 5/3/1…love em)
• The Final 5 sets are “down sets “...”first set last”…by the book I actually should have done 5x8 with 100lbs tonight and not 5x10 with 95lbs (I screwed up a little).

As for the Rows…I simply follow Wendler’s advice of doing a pulling movement between every press…sometimes I do rows...sometimes I do chins…sometimes I mix it up.

Food intake today:
Calories:2,610
Carbs: 291
Fat: 66
Protein: 212

Everything meticulously measured and logged.

I should mention that I open welcome comments, criticism & thoughts on my programing, diet & form (when I post Vids).

Tonight's money set...130x7

I honestly think I could have nailed 8...I am always hesitant to REALLY push for fear of injury (I'm no spring chicken and am fully aware that I can't train injured...so I'm careful...too careful?...perhaps)

Thanks for following along

OK session. Was a little rushed as my gal and I are going out for dinner with friends tonight. Skipped the Joker sets as I have to rest so long between them and was not really "feeling it" tonight.

330 X 6 while not a PR is a solid effort for me.

Push ups done "ladder style" in between the pulls

No food data tonight as I am heading out for dinner and drinks...3500 or so by the time it's all done I would guess
