2 hours out from my workout and my body feels destroyed. Definitely time to de-load.

My joints are really beat up from a lot of heavy squatting and overhead pressing. A lot of tenderness and fatigue...my body tell me to rest.

Sometimes the deload is absolutely necessary and in your case it 100% sounds like it. Good luck BtB and i got no doubt your going to come back strong

Thanks guys. I am already planning some back off work. This happens to me every time I do heavy high box squats. You think I would learn, but deep inside I keep hoping my (old) body will adapt.

yeah Steve maybe just do an active rest week, that will give your body a little break plus you will still be working out just at a minimal effort
