Default My big fat log....

I've never been able to keep a good consistent log, because I have never been accountable to anyone. If I post it on here and anyone gives a shit to read it, it'll help me keep logging. I am currently 39 years old and training for a meet. After 16 years off from training and falling short of competing in the 90's, I am making an over the hill run at it again. After coming back 2 and a half years ago I had to lose a considerable amount of weight and had some surgery last October. Since my recovery last February I decided to begin powerlifting seriously for the first time in 18 years. So here goes.

Monday 11/11/13:

ME Bench:
(Bicep tendons and shoulders very sore from Squats on Saturday. Have severe mobility issues and usually Bench before Squat day, but not this time.)

Flat Bench: All reps slight pause and then explosive
Bar x 10,001
135 x 15
185 x 10
225 x 8
275 x 5
315 x 5
365 x 3
405 x 4
Add slingshot:
405 x 10
455 x 4
495 x 3 - At this point couldnt straighten left arm from Bicep tendon cramp

Close-Grip
315 x 12
315 x 8

Incline DB (high bench)
110 x 12
110 x 12

Front Raise
45plate x 21 x 3sets

Side Raise (Bulldozer style, ala Steve Shaw)
35 x 15
45 x 12
55 x 10

Tricep Pushdowns
Some meaningless pin number x 3 x 12

455 x 4
495 x 6
545 x 4

Thanks! I dont know if you saw my post on your PR thread? I was thanking you for motivating me last week, because I saw your Deadlift PR on my phone.

This is why I'm gonna try to keep this log going. Something I've always sucked at.

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.
