Nope! The humidity is the worst by far though. So tired of Virginia summers.

Ha, you could do that and more, of that I have no doubt. Thanks all the same Ravi.

7/28/14, Press & Upper Body:

warmup:
same as always

1. Strict Press:
Bar x 15
95 x 8
115 x 8
135 x 5
155 x 5
185 x 5, PR tie! Got a cramp in my upper back on the 5th rep, which knocked me out of my groove. Still got it up though!

2. DB Row (aka, Rows 4 the Hoes):
65 x 10
85 x 8
105 x 8
75 x 15, 15

3a. DB Incline Press:
65's x 12, 12, 10, 10
3b. Facepulls:
4 sets of 20

4. 3 Way Delt Raises:
2 sets of 12 each (side, front, rear)

5a. Curls (aka, Curls 4 the Girls):
3x20
5b. Pushdowns:
3x35

Session Grade: A
Notes:
Pretty good session all around. Overheads went well, other than the cramping issue on the top set. I think next time I come back to heavy 5's, I will go for a PR at 190. Everything else was just pumping volume.

Thanks DZ! If things go well over the next few weeks, I may try to triple 195 or 200 for a PR. Really need to get my strict pressing up to snuff.

7/30/14, Lower Body:

warmup:
same as usual

1. Pause Front Squat:
bar x 10
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 5
250 x 3
275 x 2, belt.

2. Beltless Olympic Squat:
275 x 11, 9. Going to stick with this weight until I am getting sets of 15 or so.

3. Deadlift:
135 x 5
225 x 5
275 x 5
315 x 3
365 x 1
385 x 5, belt.
405 x 5, belt. post squatting PR! Most I have ever pulled after squatting and only 10 lbs off a lifetime PR tie.

4. Banded Leg Curls:
4 sets of 20 (10 each leg, 10 legs together)

5. Ab Circuit:
2 rounds of Ab Wheel, Leg Raises, and Saxon Side Bends

Session Grade: A+
Notes:
Really great session overall, lots of good lifting tonight. The paused front squats went really well, pretty sure 275 for 2 is a solid PR. The olympic squats did not go as well; still getting some bar lean even with the high bar position. I was also expecting both sets to get over 10 reps to start. Oh well, just need to work them up over time. Deadlifts were GREAT. I was dead tired after all the squatting and still managed to pull 10 lbs under a lifetime PR when i pulled fresh.
