3/18/14-Leg day. Oh, boy!- My hip felt better today and I was able to go a little heavier than last week. I do believe lower back fatigue contributed to last week's poor performance (not that today's session was very good either). I am hoping that re-arranging my schedule like I have will help.
Sun- off
Mon- off
Tues- squats
Wed- Bench press
Thu- off
Fri- deadlift
Sat- arms/shoulders


squats- these were all atg squats. My hip felt ok, but I had to go slower than usual. At my normal squat speed, my hip was giving me warning "signals", lol. As long as I went slow all was fine.

3/19/14- bench day

Bench press

300 x 4- was supposed to be 295 x 5, but I wanted to try and get 300 x 5. I think I might have been able to get it with a spotter. I was too afraid to try another rep without one. Our bench doesn't even have safety catches, so I played it safe.

Machine bench press
3 sets of 8

Followed up with 10 minutes on the exercise bike.

I am going to add some dead bench work to this session next week. I've been looking for something to replace the incline presses I took out of my bench sessions. After reading WildBill's log, I think these may be just what I need.
