I'm the complete opposite - I think the lifting is good for the whole body, as long as it is in a carefully, well thought out structured program, like Jr's is. The ones that go all out without proper coaching and planning are the ones that likely end up getting hurt often and damaging body parts.

You certainly have been exhibiting alot of restraint lately!!

I have to hand it to you, biting your tongue with the football coach...there is NO WAY I could have done that....I wiuld have been right in his grill, and then my son would be running extra laps because the coach is mad at me (true story, actually happened)

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

It's the logic, they just can't grasp it

I thought the idea of weight raining making you slow, muscle bound, and stunting growth was over. I guess not.

Funny that people can't make that connection, isn't it.

I'm not a confrontational person, in general. My temper goes from 0 to 100 mph in a flash, so I keep it under control as much as possible.

I don't talk to his coaches, other than the O-Line coach because he's a friend. I stay out of the coaches ears and make JR make his own way on the team.

Haven't been around much and haven't lifted lately. Been swamped at work, busy with kids' stuff, and running around getting portable lights for the football practices. The rest of the week doesn't look much better. Won't get a workout in until Saturday
