I did not do my aux bench day this week due the heat and the amount of work I have been doing. Friday we did rack pulls which went well
405x4 495x4 545x4 595x2 645x2. We did these off 4" blocks so they are low rack pulls. Finished with RDL's which really worked the hammy's.

Tonight we have a Bench and BBQ and my plan was to max out and see where I was.
225x5 255x2 275x1 300x1 315x1 335x1 355x1
355 is a 25lb PR and I may have had another 10lbs in me but I figured we could give that a shot in 3-4 weeks at the end of the program. If I can get the video I will attach it.
The owner the of the gym thought it would be fun to throw a bench shirt on so we did that and it was my first time. Felt really weird and it wasn't until I had 405 on the bar that I could touch my belly.. We will continue to use that in training and see where it goes. Squats on tap for Tuesday!

Video of my 355lb lift and 405 in a bench shirt.

Well tonight was one of the worst nights of lifting I have ever had. I didn't feel too bad when I arrived and the goal was to get 3x3x425. Warm up went ok but when I got the to the first working set it felt so heavy and impossible to lift. I really can't explain it so I backed down to 415 and was able to complete 2 other ugly sets. I just didn't have it tonight and I am really hoping it was just a fluke. Did manage some close stance squats and wider stance but even those felt like crap. On the way home it felt like I was hit by a truck so my CNS may be off some. Planning to do my bench aux Thurs so hopefully my body responds. It is nights like this that really humble you.

Happens to the best of us. Maybe you're coming down with something. Crazy heavy lifting still!

Last night I felt much stronger and energetic but it doesn't take much for me to get up
for DL's. I have to work on my driving my hips threw the bar. I know what to do but when the weight gets heavier I seem to forget. That is why we continue to do the work.
Conv
225x3 315x3
405x3 455x2
495x2 545x2
585x1 405x4
Sumo
315x3 405x3 500x1

315x10 fast reps

Finished with good morning using heavy straps. Something different that you can try instead of the bar.

Tonight we had a complete 180 from last week. Squats felt really good and for my working sets I wrapped my knees. Also hit 505lbs with an official judge calling depth. Couldn't be happier right now!!
2x235x2
285x3
325x3
385x3
3x425x3 w/ knee wraps
465x1
505x1 new PR

Great night and my confidence is up. Still have form work to do but we will continue to work on that.
