I don't think you wanna see the videos I have. Pretty graphic.

Thnx Rich. I think the slingshot will help improve my pressing. Time will only tell.

Happy as a clam with my bench progress. Just keep getting stronger and I'm feeling good this week. Finally getting over this bitch of a summer cold. Diet is still on track and mood/energy is a lot better. I did up my D3 intake which could be helping. Anyway, I have one more lift on Cycle 15 then starts the 5x5. I really, really hope that this works out. I like the overall setup of the 10x5, 5x5, 5x3 and 5x1. If it does work out, I will start the 10x5 cycle over with weights increased of course.

Did I miss something - your switching routines?

Really superb benching DZ - that would be a challenge for me. Have you thought about how your going to work the slingshot in when it arrives? I was advised that it is best to do paused work with it.

Also good to hear your feeling better. Makes me feel guilty actually that I never get sick.

Not switching routines staying with the same format, just changing the BBB setup. Wendler has it in his book "Beyond 5/3/1"

10x5 @ 50% of TM (increase 5lbs on upper TM & 10lbs on lower TM)
5x5 @ 80% of TM (+5lbs, +10lbs)
5x3 @ 90% of TM (+5lbs, +10lbs)
5x1 @ 100% of TM (+5lbs, +10lbs)

Slingshot will be utilized either on the "3s" week, "5/3/1" week or both. 2-3 sets of 2-3 reps and all paused, unless someone as a different suggestion.

Strong bench work DZ! I agree the SS should be used for paused work. I think triples are just right. Although if you're like me you may have the urge every now and then to push a really heavy single I also do raw paused work as I ramp up to my top work sets.

Thnx Rich. I think thats what I'm going to do. 2-3 sets of 2-3 reps. Maybe a heavy single here or there.

3/5/1 Cycle 15 Wave 3 BBB Powerlifting

DL w/u
135x5
165x5
205x5
245x3

Working
305x5
345x3
385x8--rep PR

BBB Sumo

Bench Squats

DONE

Shut it down after 3 sets of bench squats. The heat got me this time. Really hot and humid today. Hard to breathe after each set. At least I set a rep PR on DL.

This here ends BBB 10x5. Monday I start BBB 5x5 @ 80% of training max. We will see how it treats me.

Very nice work DZ, especially in the heat. I guess having a nice climate controlled environment is one of the few advantages to the commercial gym. Keep smashing the iron big guy

JimGym is also air conditioned. However, I am now starting to feel guilty after reading about alot of members' garage sessions. I can appreciaate as well your money set after doing 385 for big reps myself on Thursday.

Well done DZ - and I hope you are OK.
