Damn strong session tonight. I was a little disappointed on the 180 set and then I got over it. I wasn't going to go for a 1RM, but I felt real good. I think if I wouldn't have repped out on the money set I would have had it. Oh well, live to lift another day. It was close so I know in the future I will get it, but not yet. Just absolutely impressed with the way my pressing is going. I have to believe it is all of the back work I have been doing ie, heavy DB rows, Meadows, chins and even DB shrugs. Going to keep doing all of my back work as it will eventually help out my DL and Squatting too.

Finally, Elitefts has released a "So You Think You Can Deadlift" video. I picked up some good tips to try.

Awesome Pressing DZ. No doubt you would have had the 180 lbs if you hadn't worn yourself out with the reps. That's why I do the singles first

Haha yeah I would imagine wheels for 10 reps had a minor affect on that 180 Nice pressing and 180 is yours easy for the taking!

Very proud of the 135x10. A lot better than what it used to be. Struggled for a long time w/ pressing.

Crap load of work tonight. I was sick last night and ended up skipping squats. I felt a helluva lot better today. Very happy with the way my squats are finally coming back. Maybe its the volume or maybe I am finally getting my form figured out. I have been watching the "So you think you can Squat" videos along with others just trying to get my form down. My problem was, I would drop down and come right back up. It was getting to the point that I would struggle. After watching those videos, I am now sitting farther back and coming up. This way it feels more natural and the weights dont feel as heavy. I'll continue to work on it and see where it takes me.

Nothing to say about bench. All of the paused sets were easy. Looking forward to maxing that one out in October.

Took it very easy on the accessory work tonight which didn't bother me at all.

Time to eat, rest and grow!
