Default The long road, the hard road, my road.

I think I've found a place to call a lifting home. Logging here holds me accountable. I've been following Jason Blaha of YouTube IceCreamFitness 5x5 training program from the start of January. For the 8 months prior I was doing my own thing and trying to get my fitness to where it should have been. Since I've started his program I've been seeing great gains in size and strength.

Here are the supplements I take:
Whey protein
Creatine
Fish Oil
Multi Vitamin
Pre Workout
(Experimenting with BCAA)

Today was my 5x5 'Workout A'

Bench: 165 lbs
Squat: 255 lbs (This was really max effort with a spotter)
Barbell Row: 155 lbs
Barbell Shrug: 225 lbs
Dips: Bodyweight
Underhand-grip Pullups: Bodyweight

looks good. make sure you take your BCAAs everyday. sip on 10 g during your workout.

I take a scoop of BSN AminoX (10g) only during my training sessions. On non-training days my whey and whole food protein suffices.

Worked my ass off as per usual. The people I met in the gym left, the people that came while I was there left, until I was all that was left. I refuse to stop when I'm tired. I stop when I'm done.

5x5 Workout B

Bench: 155 lbs
Deadlift: (Heavy Set) 345 lbs x 4 (1 rep more than last effort)
Squat: 255 lbs (working with a spotter for the bottom half of the rep)
Seated OHP: 115 lbs
One-Arm Dumbell Row: 80 lbs (Decided to switch things up today from the regular barbell row)
Dips: Bodyweight + 25lb plate on chain
Preacher Curls: 80 lbs
Calf Press (on 45 degree leg press) 3 x 15: 230 + sled
