Thank you, sir. I'm working my way back from the injury. We spent about 6 months this year trying to change the way I've been doing them for the last 4 years: we worked on set-up, etc but it wasn't helping me. So Eric told me to forget all that and just start pulling my old way in the 400-455 ish range and working on volume and density and just really get back to deadlifting with passion. So that's what I'm doing. I don't want to just work up to my old relative max of 515 I want to go way past that.

Bodybuilding Day [No Video] - Mesocycle 63 Week 4

I don't have a video for this workout but I went in and did a lot of Bicep Curls, Tricep Extensions like Skull Crushers and I did Shrugs and tons of Forearm Training. That's all.

Deadlifts 405x3 425x3 455x4 455x3 405x2 435x2 405x3 Speed Work @ 65% 315x2x4 - Mesocycle 64 Week 1

This is my training from today. I went in feeling pretty good. I got unsteady around the 400 pound mark and I started feeling a little unstable on my feet. I still managed to pull just fine. I am still feeling pain in my lower back but this isn't the "oh shit I'm still injured" kind of pain; it's more like "oh damn my lower back feels exhausted why don't we just stop here" kind of pain. So it's weakness seeping into me. Which is good because after injury comes weakness after which comes strength so I'm going baby steps all the way! Energy levels are also okay. I was dragging my butt by the time I got to speed work but nothing too major. I know the reps and weight look weird on paper because it looks like all I did is a bunch of work in the 405 to 455 weight range and that is EXACTLY what I did!

Deadlift Work Sets:
405 x 3
425 x 3
455 x 4
455 x 3
405 x 2
435 x 2
405 x 3

I'm very very pleased with this workout. I managed to add a rep to the 455 x 3 from last week. Good stuff!

Deadlift Speed / Technique Work @ 65% of 1RM 475:
315 x 2 x 4

I wanted to practice a little on my set-up and under the guise of "speed work" that is exactly what I did. Low reps and a light-ish weight but enough work done to get the flow.

Warm-ups and Build-up:
45 x 5
135 x 5
185 x 5
225 x 2
255 x 5
295 x 3
325 x 3
365 x 2
385 x 1

Front Squats 275x2 295x2 315x1 275x3 Speed Work @65% 185x2x6 Back Squats 225x5x2 - Mesocycle 64 Week 1

This is from today's workout… Went in feeling pretty stiff and exhausted from yesterday's Deadlifts. However, as always, the speed work REALLY helps me get all set up for the heavy lifting and after the speed work all I need to do is just focus on minor details like having my mid-back absorb all the weight on the Front Squat (for example).

Speed Front Squats @ 65% of 1RM 295:
185 x 2 x 6

Front Squats Work Sets:
275 x 2
295 x 2
315 x 1
275 x 3

This is just crazy that I managed to lift 315 and I could have even done another rep but I didn't want to push the envelope. I'm really really thrilled about this. Like ecstatic coz this is me being the strongest I've been in 2013 so far.

Back Squats:
225 x 5 x 2

I don't know why I waste my time with this pathetic exercise. Next time I'm just gonna do a couple of intense sets of step-ups. This exercise is a bore and a waste and it hurts my shoulders like crazy.
