What's the long term goal with the weighted pullups?

I don't have any long term plan with them to be honest. I'm a DL only guy so the only exercise that I truly care about is Deadlifts.

BUT, I like doing heavy Weighted Pull-ups so for now, what I've been doing is (and is for the last 5-6 weeks):

Sunday = Weighted Pull-ups with +45 for volume
Tuesday = Heavy singles or doubles with the weighted pull-ups (what you commented on)
Wednesday = Lots of high volume using just bodyweight

I think this will wear out in a week or two at the MOST.

Then I think I'll restructure it in such a way that I have a greater emphasis on rows for some time.

I won't be removing Sunday though...it is important to be able to do volume work with this. I'll have to make some changes though.

For 3 months prior to this what I did was:
+70 x 1
+45 x 3
+70 x 1
+45 x 3
+70 x 1
+45 x 3
+90 x 1
BW x failure

the way I progressed was that I added a MINIMUM of 1 rep to any one of the +45 sets. So, for example, in the above workout (assume that as the "base"), the total reps were 9, right? So, the next workout I got 10. Then I did 11 the workout after that. Then 12 came around. I worked up in that fashion to 5 reps. then I began the plan you see me doing right now where I've split this workout into 3 different components.

I don't really have anything planned for the future but I need to start thinking about it and it's been playing on my mind so it's funny you should ask me

I was thinking of just removing the intensity day I have right now and replacing it with heavy rows or whatever for the time being. You know: to alternate between giving importance to Pull-ups and Rows.... You think that's cool?

DEADLIFTS 495 485 475 465x2x2 455 - Mesocycle 60 Week 1

Baby steps all the way

Dynamic Warm-ups & Mobility Drills:
Unilateral RDLs
X Band Walks
Pull-ups
Supine Glute Bridges

Front Plate Squats

Deadlifts - Build-up from 45 to 435:

135 x 3
155 x 1
165 x 1
175 x 1
180 x 1
200 x 1
215 x 1
220 x 1
235 x 1
245 x 1
250 x 1
265 x 1
275 x 1
280 x 1
295 x 2
310 x 1
325 x 1
345 x 1
355 x 1
360 x 1
385 x 1
400 x 1
425 x 1
435 x 1

Deadlifts - Heavy Singles and Doubles:
455 x 1
475 x 1
485 x 1
495 x 1
465 x 2
465 x 2

I'm very very happy with this. In a way I wish 495 would've been a grinder because that way I'd feel more confident of it but at the same time I'm really happy Eric helped me rework my form in such a way that I'm almost back to lifting what I was before but without my silly rituals of before. The entire build-up this time around felt different.

I've been limping around the last couple of days all sore and beat up but today I felt okay and the numbers reflect that. Good workout on the whole all thanks to Eric!
