Wave 1 Cycle 2: 3x3 + Singles

OH Press
45x10
50x5
60x5
75x3
85x3
95x3
110x3
115x1
120x1
*Presses felt strong today so I added a couple singles. 115 went up pretty easy like last time. Mentally I thought I could possibly hit a new PR, but decided not to push my luck and do a 5lb jump. Even though 115 went up good 120 was a struggle

Bent-Over BB Rows
45x10
65x10
75x10
*Haven't done barbell rows in awhile and man.. huge pump in my lats and upper-back. Gonna keep doing these from now on!

Dips
3 sets of 8,8,6 x BW

Side Laterals
3x10

BB Curls
3x10

Just realized I accidently wrote down this weeks training percents, last week. Oh well, I guess nothing wrong pushing the same weight a little harder today...

Tuesday, June 9th. 2013
Wave 2 Cycle 2: 3x5

Bench
2x5x45
60x5
75x5
90x3
95x5
110x5
125x7 (Rep PR)

DB Incline Press
3x10 x 30's (+5lbs)

Chin-Ups (Palms facing away)
6,5,4,3 x BW
*Still suck at these, wonder if I should try "assisted" Pull-Ups or keep working hard at what I suck at.

Tricep Press Dows
4x10x50

Face Pulls
10,20,20 x 50

Benching felt pretty good today, right collar bone felt a little out of whack after my first top set. I think I focused on moving the bar fast and got a little out of alignment. First time doing the last two assistant exercises, so just kind of went off feel.

Thanks 5kg, I've heard of using bands, but not sure if my gym has any. They do have a assisted pull-up machine though...

Don't you mean July 9th?

w/r/t chinups, all I can say is I just finally hit 9 in one set after an ENTIRE YEAR of chinning. You could always add more sets. Do chins on your off days, do 'em between bench sets. Volume seems to be the key to getting good at chins.

I suck at pull ups too! I'm a big fan of assisted pull ups

Great pressing, super squatting and congrats on the bench PR!

At this point if I were you, I would just continue to do regular chins and not go to assisted chins. Just set a rep goal and add one once you reach that. You will get strong(er) at doing them. Keep up the great work Wild One!
