Default 13th Jan 2010 (Workout A, Day - 8)

Went heavy - had to get the starting maxes today, and I did, except for the skwats.

Cleans
45 x 10
95 x 5
125 x 3
135 x 1
150 x 3
150 x 3
160 x 1
125 x 8 PR for reps, not much sweat and not to failure

Military Press
45 x 10
75 x 5
105 x 5
135 x 5
135 x 5
145 x 2
105 x 10 PR for reps, and not to failure either

Squats
135 x 8
185 x 5
215 x 5
255 x 5
255 x 4*

*Stopped at this point since last rep of the 4th set and 2nd-4th reps of the last set I constantly felt a tweak in my ankle. Could have continued, but this tweak is unlike any I have ever felt, and decided to stop.

And then totally forgot to do the DB snatches - still cursing myself for forgetting

I think next few sessions, squatting will be done with lighter weights, in front of the mirror (for form check) and gradually build back up.

Congrats on the 2 PRs. I learned to stop when the tweaks start. One of my bbing friends didn't, and tore both quads on sumo deadlifts. He knew he should have stopped but continued.

Default 15th Jan 2010 (Workout B, Day - 8)

Heavy stuff starting for workout 'B'.

The bad part - slept a mere 3-3.5 hrs today and was badly under-fed.

The good part - hit w/e weights I had to hit (which were the starting max for this cycle), and although they didnt feel easy, I still felt in each case that I had an extra rep left in the tank on all the lifts after getting w/e reps I was supposed to.

Bench Press
45 x 15
100 x 8
140 x 5
170 x 5
170 x 5
180 x 2
140 x 10

Deadlift
135 x 5
195 x 5
235 x 5 PR for 5 reps, for double over-hand grip
275 x 5
275 x 5
295 x 2
235 x 11 PR for reps (mixed grip)

Front Squat
45 x 10
95 x 5
115 x 5
145 x 5
145 x 5
155 x 2
115 x 10

Assistance work - Pin Press
135 x 1 x 5
155 x 1 x 5

High rep deads with 235 left my back sore, which is why I went easy on the Front squats and pin press later on.

Congrats on the two PR's. My Quads are a little sore from my workout yesterday. I have today and Sunday off. I will hit it hard on monday.

I enjoyed the videos. It is amazing what the human body can accomplish. It is the only machine that gets stronger the harder you work it.
