Your push day looks fine. I would consider doing 10-12 reps on the overhead DB presses. Rep work on those always felt better to me and are worth a try.

Keeping logging at MAB. The fate of the world depends upon it.

Hey all. Have not been logging nearly like I should be, or at all. I did basically jack shit this summer and now I've started to run 5/3/1 again. The only part about that which is difficult is to hit the gym 4 days a week. There are many assistance layouts for the program and the one I've been using is the fullbody (squat press pull) approach. I have fell in love with it. My question I would like to ask is I'm moving to something more faster progression approached 5x5 with powerbuilding style. Would I benefit from doing a push a pull and a leg movement once each day at the gym or split it like legs one day push another pull the last. Just curious for input. Might squat 3x a week as well. Not sure if I would make deadlift a leg or a pull.

I'm not familiar with the 101 ways to run 531, but if you want a faster progression ala 5x5 why not run that type of program, like MadCow or something similar?

Thanks Steve, any input on Squat Press Pull or just doing a Push Pull Legs split?

I'd go with something short, simple and sweet like MadCow personally.

Still looking at my options with this! Any input would be awesome. I am only going 3 days a week, and when I go 4 I usually do a 5/3/1 approach giving each main lift their own day of focus, like an upper lower split.

Hey man!

My home gym is outside so I cant really run off a schedule, but I did love frequency . I think you will love squatting 3x a week. Might have to run a couple test sessions to see where deads feel best to you.
