Thanks fellas! Support is much appreciated. I'm glad you guys like the videos. Sometimes I feel silly doing them, but they really do help me see what I'm doing and motivate me to do better each time.

Another kind of tough day. I got the big stuff done, but bailed on the fluff stuff at the end. Just wasn't feeling it today and no sense flogging a dead horse. I'm better served focussing on recovery for next time rather than killing myself.

Mike's Old School Plan week 3

warmups: leg and back stuff, swings 2x 15
Dynamic: P. Snatch: 1x 120 (ugly), 0x 130, (timing was terrible, so stopped there)

Deadlift:
1x 325 (felt funny off the floor, but came up all right)
2x 10x 250 (better than I expected)

Hi Pin Rack Pull:
5x 295
3x 5x 315

Squat:
2x 12x 195

Back yoga and some hamstring stretches and that's it.

0x 130:
325 deadlift:
10x 250:
5x 315 Hi Pin Rack Pull, daughter apparently wanted to attention on her though :
12x 195 Squat, camera cut off just before last rep:

So, pleased with completing the main work better than expected, but not so happy about bailing on the core and leg muscle work. Still, head and motivation wasn't fully in it so better safe than sorry.

Going away Friday afternoon for the weekend, so if low back can go tomorrow, I'll bench, then squat thursday and OHP Friday. If not, bench Thursday and Squat Friday, and I'll throw in the main OHP sets into next week somewhere. We'll see.

Onward and upward.

Haha! Like someone beat my ribcage into matchsticks with a sack of rocks!! Every tiny little muscle hurt, and apparently there's a lot of 'em in there.

So obviously, that's a keeper. If it hurt that bad, I must need to do them more often.

Thanks Markie, Hunter. The 325 was fairly easy which is good. That was my opener last time, and I could have pulled that for 4-5 today if I wanted to. It did feel weird off the floor though, like I didn't pull "back" enough. Deadlift still a work in progress obviously. But I'm getting there.

Deadlift stance seems a bit wide - maybe that's why it felt a bit off or funny?

Nice effort on the Oly Lifting as well. Those lifts are so tough. There is a place here that offers a full 1 year course on Oly Lifting. 1 Year - wow. It's actually fairly reasonable at about $1200.00.

Strong work Mike! Very brutal session! Keep working hard man. Squats for reps after deadlifting is very effective in my book.
