For thoses of you that I haven't told/talked to since friday, it looks like any hope of competing this summer are gone, I was told that I have a partial tear of my vastus medialus so squatting and deadlifting heavy/maximally is out of the question so i've decided that im going to be backing off my squats back to 225x2x6 for a working weight starting this week with a 20lb linear progression to learn how to squat properly since my form is utter shit

I don't think so, but my squat and dead form is utter garbage. I haven't been happy with it for a while. I've been squatting on it or the past two weeks with little to no problems. So it's not like its a leg strength problem, my upper back in my squat is terrible and I'd rather fix it now rather than later. I'm looking at it as an opportunity to get better as a lifter. I'm planning on GPC nationals next year as my first meet back and hoping for a 550+ raw squat
