No, once I saw my strength was still going up, and got a taste for an 1800 total, I just went back on the feedbag train.

After this meet I am done with feedbag living.

July 1st, 2013

I am a little beat up right now. Nothing major. Things are running just as I wanted them to run. I wanted to push until feeling fatigued and then back off a bit heading into the meet. A little dual factor theory for those of you keeping score at home.

The last three years have taught me a lot about when to push and when to rest. Feeling a little stiff and only at 95%, I dialed squats down 20 pounds. My daughter said "that looked easy."

Here is my schedule going in:

Wed July 3rd - Bench and Arms (Heavy, dial down if needed)
Fri July 5th - Deadlift (Heavy, dial down if needed)
Sun July 7th - Squats (Moderate - 625ish single)
Tue July 9th - Bench and Arms (Heavy, dial down if needed)
Thur July 11th - Deadlift (Heavy, dial down if needed)
Sat July 13th - Squats (Moderate - 625ish single)
Sun July 14th - Bench and Arms (Moderate)

Rest - Meet on July 20th.

Squats - Buffalo Bar
145 x 3
235 x 1
325 x 1
415 x 1
415 + 60 Chains x 1
415 + 120 Chains x 1
505 + 120 Chains x 1

I think do.

It factors in fitness and fatigue. When you feel battered you allow your fatigue to improve so your fitness can shine.

I push just to the brink of overtraining, then rest a week.
