April 28th, 2013

Huge step forward today.

Went in my my lats feeling a bit off and fatigued. Early on during warmups I could tell my eccentrics were feeling strong and fast. The goal was to progress to a 360 single, but I ended up passing that easily.

I went for 400 and only missed lockout by a hair. My strength is almost back to normal, and I still have plenty of time before the next UPA meet. There is hope for a 400 bench.

I honestly thought I would be scrapping to add 5 pounds to my top single every workout, and today I just destroyed that foolish thought. The most I've ever hit in a Slingshot was 440. Let's see if I can get back to that.

Should also note that my eccentrics were lighting fast today - for me, that is. Best they've felt in years. maybe the arm work is paying off.
