Default Lifting things and related tomfoolery

Hey. I'm new here, just found this site yesterday and very much like the set up. I decided I will start keeping a training journal here, in addition to my other online journal to help keep my motivation level up and make me feel more accountable and stop slacking off. I am currently getting ready for the WDFPF european championships which are in 5 weeks time. I'm very driven to do well there after a disastrous showing at the IDFPA nationals, making only 4 out of nine lifts and totalling way, way lower than I have in the gym and nowhere near my goal. This was due to a lack of focus on the day, and making some technical errors which then psyched me out. So as of this week I'm going to get back my focus, keep my diet in line and work on hitting all my lifts, to perfect comp standards and getting my confidence up. The eventual goal being to hit, my goal total from the nationals at the Euros and restore some pride. I will be using a training program I designed myself, one which has given me big gains in the past, last year taking me from a gym total of 540 to 600kg in 3 months. Any input or encouragement is gratefully received and I look forward to logging here.

This is my write up of last night's session. Feeling tired after the weekend but nearly hit my exact targets. My right arm was shaking like crazy on the work sets. Something clearly wrong with it. Weights felt light but some slipped out of the groove due to my right arm. No pain, just not stable. Hopefully it will clear up.

Paused Bench press
60kg 10
100kg 5
120kg 1
132.5kg 3
132.5kg 3
132.5kg 3

Paused Slingshot bench press
150kg 5
150kg 5
150kg 3
Tris were dead after these.

Paused wide grip bench
115kg 5
115kg 4

seated lateral raise
17.5s 12
17.5s 10
17.5s 10
Not bad tonight, considering I just competed saturday. Ate well today and was very up to train. Have felt lacklustre in the gym the last few weeks but was focused and driven tonight. Good things to come.

Good session today. Not perfect as I underestimated the toll competing took on my body so I wasn't 100% but still got my targets just about.

Deadlift
60kg 5
100kg 5
150kg 2
200kg 1
232.5kg 3
232.5kg 3

speed deadlift
180kg 5'
180kg 5
180kg 5

rack pull from pin 13 ( lower than usual, this is from the exact point I failed the 267.5 saturday, and feels very hard, found my weakness i think)
230kg 6
230kg 6

yates row
130kg 8
130kg 8

beat at this point so went home. Not bad at all.

Thanks man! They are getting there again. Switched my tech up a bit. Very narrow stance, high start position and speed, and my pulls are feeling much more comfortable, fun and powerful.
