Thanks man! Feeling fairly confident about my meet now! Looking forward to seeing what's in the tank. I prefer chins to wide grip pull ups myself. I found that after I started adding weight on them my shoulders kept getting little niggling injuries. You will be surprised what you can handle on them if you load it up. I find I could be good for we'll say 2 reps with 40kg and if I dropped to 35 may still only get 2. So they are worth loading up.

Well I've been doing wide grip pull ups with 50lbs and stuck at 10reps for a little while, so we'll see what I can do for chins. I imagine more because for me, I hit my back better with wides, vs hitting my arms more with chins.
You should be confident for your meet, you're peaking at the right time!!!

Definitely should be good for 65 plus for chins at that rate man! And yeah, I think I am getting it just right this time!

There is always an official video done on the day and all the seperate classes will be up in a couple of weeks then so I will definitely have some. May be able to get some on the day though myself if I have people with me.

Thanks very much BtB. Definitely more to come. After the euros next week I'm taking a break then running smolov for bench and then doing another program I designed myself for 12 weeks. To hopefully get my total way up and bulk up to 110kg.

Last heavy session before the euros in the bank today. Felt good and looking in good shape. Weighed 102 today so close enough to hit weight next Saturday I think.
Stiff leg deadlifts
60kg 8
110kg 5
160kg 3
200kg 1
220kg 3 ( stiff leg pb, beltless any style deadlift pb)
220kg 1
not to failure, but still struggled a fair bit there. Had 1-2 reps in the tank. Felt beastly.

deadstop squat ( dropping down to the pins, way below depth, taking a slow 5 count then driving back up at speed)
150kg 2
150kg 1
100kg 6
again not fully to failure but close enough on these.

hammers curls
40s 10
40s 8
40s 7
getting there.

Finished with loads of stretching including using a short barbell and holding it out overhead while laying on a foam roller and waiting until my hands hit the ground. Feel very good and loose now. 6 days out from the european championship, feeling good, in good shape and strong as I could have hoped really so time to get out there, rage and hit numbers. Working up to my bench opener tomorrow night and maybe a few sets of speed work.

Cheers man! . Huge confidence boost I know a deadlift pb is there for the day now. Just a case of how much I can pull and guessing it just right on my third attempt. I was listening to this in the gym today which helped!
