Nice work in here. Hope your upper back loosens.

Thanks, Jim. Wasn't particularly pleased with what looks like some upper back rounding on those squats, but hopefully I can fix that up.

Thanks, Ravi. Here's to hoping my bench gets as "good" as my squat.

Thanks, LtL. It's bugging me a bit today, but not as bad. I'm going to lift today, but I may have to bite the bullet and let it loosen up fully one of these days.

Squat
160kg x 3 x 2 sets (beltless)
185kg x 3 x 5 sets

Front squat
110kg x 3 x 4 sets

Bench
130kg x 1 x 2 sets

CG Bench
100kg x 7 x 3 sets

Ran out of time again, which means those 100 accessory reps go to tomorrow again.

Did more warm up sets than usual today by taking smaller jumps. "Idea" courtesy of this recent video by Brandon Lilly:

I have always had to take smaller, 20 lb-ish jumps on squat ramp ups. Good to know I am normal!

Training looking strong as usual.

That's a good thing, Jim! You're getting so much more volume in that way. I had typically taken 20kg jumps the whole way up for squat. Give or take what I have to make to hit a certain number, it could often be 25-30kg jumps. Today I took 20kg jumps up to 120kg, then proceeded to take 10kg jumps. I didn't notice the difference in fatigue, but I certainly got more reps in.

And thanks!

Good log and training.

Good luck for the Worlds. Unfortunatly I am just a reserve and I am running out of time for the 93kg no1 (GBPF) to hurt himself lol!

Thanks, Ravi. I'm hoping for 150-155 at Worlds. That would be a verrryy nice number for me, personally. Still not anywhere near good, however.

Experimented with some high bar squatting tonight. I'll upload some videos of it, but ultimately just went

120kg x 2 x 6 sets

Squatting this way looks SO much better, in my opinion. It was harder, but that's to be expected right now. I'll keep doing it.

DB Rows
65 x 20 x 3 sets

Also, booked flight to Russia.
