Just finished my workout, sat in my studio drinking my post workout shake
Heres how my workout went.

WORKOUT A

BENCH PRESS - 5X5 - 33kg/72lbs
BARBELL ROW - 5X5 - 40kg/88lbs
BARBELL SHRUGS - 3X8 - 40kg/88lbs
PULL UPS - 5X5 - BODY WEIGHT
BARBELL CURLES - 5X5 - 7.5kg/16.5lbs
OVER-HEAD TRICEP EXTENSIONS - 3X8 - 5kg/11lbs
JUMP SQUATS - FAILURE - BODY WEIGHT
ABS CIRCUIT



Really good workout today, upped the weight somewhat again.
Went up 3kg/6.6lbs on the bench press since last workout.
Gone up 5kg/11lbs with the barbell row.
Shrugs I went up 5kg/11lbs too.
With shrugs, I could go allot higher but I'm going to do everything slowly like you said, go up 5kg each week until I hit a sticking point, then I'll try beat it.

I tried something different for legs today. Jump squats. Killers.
Really good exercise though. I did these a few months back, and I literally couldn't walk my legs were so sore, no exaggeration. It wasn't good pain though, I couldn't get to sleep comfortably the next day, it was agony.
Pretty sure that won't happen tomorrow though, I think it was because I wasn't used to it.
I did them again a week later and I was fine the next day, not sore at all.
They defiantly take it out of you though.
Sprinters do them, and they have great power in there legs. (mind you they probably do regular squats too).
I remember the Hodge twins saying they got the majority of the size in their legs from doing those too.
I think there perhaps my best option at the moment seen as I can't do squats. Combined with dead lifts and bulgarian split squats I should be able to hit my legs pretty well for now.

As you can see I added some of the isolation exercises back in.
I feel I can cope with it all now seen as I don't feel sick anymore.
I get my big compounds done first, and then do the iso's.
I also did an ab circuit type thing at the end of my workout.
3 exercises done one after the other, 3 times.
My abs were killing me afterwards.

As I said last time, I feel bigger, and look bigger.
Biceps and chest in particular look bigger than they did before I started, and my lats too.
My workouts are getting more enjoyable each time, and I seem to have more energy.
In terms of food, as I said I've added another meal since my appetite went up.

Things are going good, really pleased at the moment.
Thanks for the feedback you guys have been giving my too, really motivating, its a big help.

Now it's just a matter of keep doing what your doing, since you are progressing and enjoying it. Also take time and effort to study and improve your form.

Really well done today Linden. Quite enjoyed your write-up as well.

You likely have DOMS, which usually happens when you do something different, anything different, such as reps, weight, variation, etc.
