Wednesday, May, 8th

Powertec Machine Squats3x6 (+5lbs)
Warm Up- 90x10
295x6, 295x6, 295x6

I felt really strong on these today and my quads were feeling it when I was done. Great squatting today!

Barbell Rows 4x6 (+2.5lbs)
172.5x6, 172.5x6, 172.5x6, 172.5x6

My grip (with some chalk) was very strong and it didn't feel like much on the bar when I picked it up off the floor but once I started pulling I was getting a really good contraction in my back. Couldn't be more happier with these today.

Powertec Machine Standing Hamstring Curls 2x8 (+2.5lbs)
32.5x8/8, 32.5x8/8

Now the last time I did 3 sets of 8 reps but I decided on how I was feeling today that two was more than enough sets for me. I will probably keep it at 2 sets moving forward just because it's an isolation and I feel that it's enough for me at this stage.

E-Z Barbell Curls 2x10 (+3reps)
90x10, 90x9

Now I wasn't able to get all 10 reps on both sets but I was able to increase my reps on both sets. The last set was probably to or close to failure. I'm trying to avoid going to failure on my lifts. My pump in my arms though were amazing from just these two sets and my joints didn't hurt at all and it just felt really good.

Overall:

I was saying that I was all in to workout last Sunday but Sunday came and I wasn't feeling up to it energy wise. My intentions was just to take this week off because I have finals all this week and my school is coming to an end so I focused on my diet and sleep schedule. I got myself going to sleep a lot earlier and waking up at a decent time now. I also increased my fiber intake in my diet and have cut down on things I don't feel are needed in my diet at this time. Yesterday I was feeling it to workout but decided to wait and now today came and I just couldn't wait any longer so I got back into my routine. It felt really good today and I'm very happy I took the last few days off to work on things. Joints and energy feel great as well. Have a great night!

Thanks!

Saturday, May, 10th

Powertec Machine Incline Bench 3x6 (+2.5lbs, +2reps)
Warm Up- 90x20
262.5x6, 262.5x6, 262.5x8

I was very surprised how strong I felt to start today and that I was able to increase the reps on the last set without going to failure. Very pumped about this lift tonight!

Powertec Machine Shoulder Press 3x6 (+2.5lbs)
210x6, 210x6, 210x6

This lift felt pretty heavy but none of the reps/sets were to failure. It was just a grind to get all the reps but I managed and happy I progressed.

Flat Dumbbell Flies 3x8-12 (+2.5lbs)
32.5x12, 35x12, 35x12

As you can see with my first set I didn't increase the weight because I miss counted before I did my set and didn't realize it until I was done. I got a good pump however with just the first set and then I added my 2.5lbs and I was able to again get all reps and sets with this lift. I really enjoy this lift for my chest.

Triceps Pushdowns 2x10 (+2.5lbs)
97.5x10, 97.5x10

This lift felt heavy today but I feel I managed to have great form and really feel in it my triceps. Also this was not to failure so overall I'm pleased with this lift so far.

Overall:

Let me just say that I'm stunned that I was able to add weight and increase the reps on the last set on my incline bench because my diet while it has been better has been fewer calories and because of that my weight dropped 2-3 pounds. Not a big deal but I wasn't expecting to come into this workout feeling strong at all and also I haven't did this workout and these lifts in over a week. So I was shocked to start my workout with incline bench and seen how strong I was feeling. It continued throughout the workout and I was able to progress on all my lifts. I'm assuming those few days off of rest that I had did more good than bad for me. I'm very pleased though because I was expecting some loss in strength for some reason but that obviously so far hasn't been the case. I also worked in the morning today so again just very shocked and pleased with today. Have a great/safe weekend!

Thanks fellas!
