Yesterday:
Squat: 52.5 x3, 60x3, 67.5 x5
Deadlift: 60kg 5x10
Leg curl: 27.5kg 5x10
Hanging knee raises: 3x20

Rest on squats were 'go when ready', about 2minutes on deadlifts and 45 seconds on leg curls. 35-40minute workout.

Today:
Cgbp: 47.5x3, 55x3, 60x5, (wide) 40x10
DB row: 25kg 5x10
Fat grip press: 25kg 5x10
Inverted row: 50 reps
Incline db bench: 10kg 3x15

5x10 DB rows, much like the volume deadlifts, only seem to leave me out of breath, my back never feels worked in the same way high rep press fatigues the shoulders, or high rep bench fatigues the chest.

Nice workouts.

Db Rows are tough and can feel more like conditioning than strength building. Using a lighter weight to achieve more sets may be the problem. You might try cutting the number of sets you do and increase the weight, maybe 2 sets of 15-20 reps.

nice volume, like OR said maybe a bit more weight and higher reps on the DB row work well.

I've been doing 5x10 to balance out the 5x10 flat bench work as prescribed with Boring But Big. Even with just 25kg, im running out of space. I could maybe get another 10-15kg squeezed onto the dumbbell using my 5kg plates that fit the olympic sized bar, but i would be struggling to get the collars on.

But more reps does seem like a good idea. Some 20+ rep sets might be just what i need.

Yes, definitely try the higher reps and see how that works. The front and back do not have to match rep for rep to be balanced, as long as they are both getting stronger.

Strong work.

I seem to remember a lot of 5/3/1 variants can have volume sets anywhere from ~10 to ~20 reps, if "official" guides even bother you that much. So yeah, maybe try 15 or 20 odd for some lifts. See how it feels.

But there's also the fact that Boring But Big might also be called Boring But Brutal, lol, according to accounts I've heard.

There are tons of different variations of the 5/3/1 assistance stuff because not everybody responds the same way. You can experiment slightly, switch it up every now and again, mix and match, and find what's going to work best for you. Like Wendler says, it's just assistance stuff, don't think about it that hard.

No doubt im trying to major in the minors here. I'll try some higher reps on the rows for a few weeks and see how it goes.
