Fine work there. Hammering chins is always a worthy thing to do.

edit: As for 5/3/1 full body style, Wendler has posted and written at least two versions of that, and this is a pretty good one (I think) - http://www.jimwendler.com/2011/09/531-for-a-beginner/ (I know, it says "for a beginner", but really, it's just full body, which anyone could do, depending on goals and days free and all that).

Tried that before, the "lighter" days for squat and bench felt like i was doing nothing. The set up i have in mind will be pretty much the same, except with 531 bench with squat and then friday is free to do whatever i like. Something like:

Monday:
5/3/1 squat
5/3/1 bench
BB rows and general upper back work.

Wednesday:
5/3/1 deadlift
5/3/1 press
30-50 assisted chinups

Friday:
20 rep squats
5x10/3x20 leg curls
fat grip bench & press 30-50 reps each
Rows and pulldowns 50 reps each

First 2 days being the hard work, friday being the "fun" rep day. The volume adds up to pretty much the same as what you get with BBB, minus the volume deadlifts, plus a bit more upper back volume.

Yeah, whatever works for you, like always.

Not to be argumentative () but... that looks a lot like putting half of the variant's day one and half of its day three into your day one, then something approximating what's left over into your day three.

But again, if it works for you, it's all good.

Thats because thats exactly what it is. Its just BBB rearranged to suit 3 days instead of 4, for convenience and scheduling sake.

I like it too. Thanks.

Its not like on the friday i'll just be messing and half assing the workout. I will still be looking to add weight with regularity. The fact that i'll be using fat gripz means it will still be hard, but not with the same intensity on the bar as if i were doing those lifts without the fat gripz.

I agree, not a big fan of the routine, but it all comes down to what the lifter wants to do and what he can gain on.

Squat: 60x5, 67x3, 75x3, 60x5
Leg curl: 30kg 5x10
Abs 5x10

Quick workout made awkward because i've got mild sunburn on my shins and knees, so i couldnt really deadlift.

Eeek, I hate sunburns. I wouldn't have deadlifted either.
