Thanks Ravi, Moe

Saturday

I'm still really stiff from deadlifts last session, so went for superlight pumptastic workout.

Squats

With shamefully low weights, but (a) haven't squatted for a while (front squats don't count) and (b) this counts as cardio

50 (110) X 12
60 (132) X 12
70 (154) X 12
80 (176) X 12
90 (198) X 12

T Bar rows

65 (143) X 10
65 (143) X 10
65 (143) X 10
65 (143) X 10

Military press

I find these terrifically hard work to do for any reps and had to drop the weight right down to get sets of ten.

50 (110) X 10
50 (110) X 10
50 (110) X 10
50 (110) X 10

Dips

I don't know why I did these really as I was due to do some direct chest work. Thye were a lot easier than last time I tried them.

Bodyweight X 12
Bodyweight X 12
Bodyweight X 12
Bodyweight X 10

Wts. are light definitely (as per your standard) but if we look at the volume, it looks kind of brutal ... You must have got pump like a bodybuilder ... Keep smashing the wts. buddy ...

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Thanks Moe, Ravi

Friday

My fun rest-pause bodybuilding workout. I was absolutely pumped up like a balloon after these few sets. I used 'myo-reps': do the set to failure, take a few deep breaths, do more reps to failure, few more breaths etc.

I can't remember the reps I got very accurately. Weights are largely irrelevant

Chest supported machine row

63kg (??) x 12 + about 15 rest-pause reps
63kg (??) x 12 + about 15 rest-pause reps

DB laterals

I did these leaning against a benc at about 75% to hit the side delts more. Can't use much weight on them.

12 (26s) X 10 + rest pause reps
12 (26s) X 10 + rest pause reps

Flat bench flyes

No rest-pause on these as I don't usually do these. Straight sets will be enough stimulus.

30 (66) X 10
30 (66) X 10
30 (66) X 10

Dips

Bodyweight X 15 + rest-pause reps: 5 + 4 + 3 +3
Bodyweight X 12

Cable bicep curls

Two tough rest-pause sets.
