Thanks for comments, guys. JD - I'm doing nothing for the injury apart from babying it a bit, but it seems to be recovering.

Today's George Peppard fact In 1984, an episode of 'The A Team' was filmed in the Amazon rainforest, where the cast encountered a stone-age tribe who had had no previous contact with the outside world. The result is that even today, the tribe awaits the return of 'Xocapeppardotcl' - the 'blue-eyed god that eats sticks of fire' and his sidekick 'Barbaracus', the bull that walks like a man.

Sunday

My fitness and grip are pretty rubbish at the moment, so I couldn't do much more weight than on SLDLs last week. However, the good news is that the shoulder injury is getting better, and I could use a bit more on standing DB shoulder press. I put the belt on this week, which also helps.

Tried a heavier weight on rows, but it was a bit too much at the moment - had to retreat to 95.

Today's George Peppard fact George once made use of the Heisenberg Uncertainty Principle to avoid the Paparazzi. Finding himself surrounded by photographers, George called out his angular momentum to fourteen decimal places. Since it was now impossible to simultaneously know his exact position, he was able to slip away. (Wesley Snipes tried a similar quantum effect to avoid paying taxes, but was caught by the CERN branch of the IRS).

Friday A very hurried workout. I'm off to Sicily tomorrow and had to get back to get stuff ready, plus I had promised to give a lift (a 'ride' for my US chums) to a colleague.

So: front squats were rushed and my heart wasn't in them, DB bench was a step forward, DB press was OK, curl poundages were way down.
