Yeah, Americans are ass backward on all things in society. We overpay useless paper pushers and underpay people doing real work. Vacations are sparse, 40 hour work week is the rule even if there's nothing to do, health care is expensive and useless, not a second longer than a 30 min lunch, barely 6 weeks off for the birth of a child and only for the mother, and on and on and on.

No argument there. We still hae a ways to go to be a better society.

Did not know you were a teacher Tann....can't imagine too many kids having the nerve to get cheeky In your classes!!
Am surely jealous of the long holidays you guys get for sure

Good to see the change of set up helped the knees out. Also just wondering, do you think you got some nice carry over to your bench from the db clean and press work you have focused on lately?

The holidays are fantastic, but man you do need them.It's the most exhausting job I've ever done. And bear in mind I spend a proportion of almost every holiday preparing and marking.

Hard to say, because I've only just started benching again after many months avoiding it. But seeing as I'm doing 120kg X 4, I'm sad to say that I don't think there's any carry over. There's not even any carry over to barbell press as far as I can see. I started pressing again last week and I'm back down to 70kg X 6 (I've done 70kg X 14 a while back)

I know how you feel. I have everything graded and my report cards are turned in. The only thing I need to do for the next two months is align my curriculum with the new Common Core standards

Ah, that sucks. Our course has had teaching hours slashed by 11 %. My estimate is that it's going to take about 90 hours work to rewrite everything to fit.

Wednesday

I'm dieting at the moment, and on about 2100-2300 calories a day. Sometimes workouts are hard going and I'm paranoid that my shoulders are getting smaller but my waist isn't. That aside, this was an OK workout. Did some incline flyes which is an odd choice for me.

Thanks Steve.

Friday I wasn't very optimistic about this session, as the last time I did deadlifts they felt very heavy. Backed off on the weight and did some fives, then pushed myself on the last set. Squats continue to rise, though they're hard going at the end of the session.
