Thanks Babs.

BENCH PRESS

Band stretches and light face pulls for reps

Bench Press
Bar x lots x 2
50kgs x 8
80kgs x 5
3 count pause on last rep from here
100kgs x 3
115kgs x 3
3 count pause
130kgs x 1
140kgs x 1
Add shirt
155kgs x 2board x 2
Add belt
165kgs x 1board x 1
175kgs x 1 Opener check. Very easy press. Looks like I'll be opening with a 2.5kgs meet PB
190kgs x 2board x 1 This is around 3rd attempt weight.

Giant set of:
Face pulls (11plates for 2 sets of 15)
Straight arm pulldowns (4plates for 2 sets of 15)
Light band tricep pulldowns (2 sets of 15)

Great session tonight. Didn't have any of my usual shirt guys in so had some trouble getting it on and set OK. Got there in the end it just took a while longer. Presses were strong and 175 was really smooth and comfortable. Feeling very ready for the meet 2.5weeks out:

Nice work man. I enjoyed your article about benching too. I actually learned a lot of what you wrote about from watching your bench setup awhile back.

I love it when a plan comes together

Having a new PB as your opener is very cool indeed

Thanks. I feel so much more confident in gear than I did coming into the last meet and I think it showed last night.

Thanks Fen. I have stolen a lot of those ideas so it's good that I can pass them on

Yes Hannibal. I am probably going to open with PB squat and bench so a PB total is looking pretty solid right now.

Still strong as a bull in here Al. I remember when you first (if it was when YOU first started powerlifting or when I first noticed your log on M&S) started man, you've come a long way. A very big inspiration to people who want to begin the sport.
