Add shirt
165kgs x 2 (2board then 1board)
175kgs x 1 1board
185kgs x miss. Held around 2/3 way up but couldn't finish
185kgs x miss. Almost locked out then lost it at the top.

Tricep tri-set
12.5kgs dumbells CG floor press/Tate press/rolling extension
1 set of 12 reps each
1 set of 15 reps each

Light band triceps pushdowns
2 sets of lots

Frustrating night again yesterday. Good points:

145 felt very easy raw
185 felt light in my hands

Things to improve upon:

Still too slow on the negative with the first 185. I threw the second attempt down a bit faster and it really helped.
Lost the 175 and 1 attempt at 185 backwards at the top.

That was my third week in a row in the shirt so I'm still hopeful I'll get 185 or more at the meet. Next week I will deload with some floor press or bench against chains for triples then back in the shirt for an opener check the following week.

Rest day today followed by opener check in the suit on Sunday IF I can sort out the squat rack to a height where I can walk out by myself.

185s looked tough. Hang in there man. Drive that back into the bench when things get tough. I have faith that at the meet you will find your mojo.

Couldn't tell how much your butt was coming up. That movement was making me a bit nervous.

Yeah they were pretty damn hard to lockout but manageable everywhere else if that makes sense.

Butt doesn't lift, I just have a sink and heave style press at the moment. Not sure if that's a good thing or not for shirted but it's been working well for raw...

Al, I'm not an expert as you know. One thing that strikes me though is I think you should be pushing more toward your feet than towards your face. The gear is driving you up towards your face for sure, but if you could harness that and use it more towards straight up than back towards the pins, you'd be better off.

Just my uninformed .02! No knowledge of gear. Just saying what popped in my mind as I watched the vid. I hope it helps or at least doesn't hurt!!
