Thanks guys. Time to ease back into it.

Week 0 Post British Open

Training @ West End Barbell

Deep heat to lower back, glutes, shoulders and elbows

Band walks

Goblet squats
5 x 10

DB rows
4 x 10

Incline bench
3 x 10

Hammer curls
3 x 10

Tricep pushdowns
100 reps

The home gym is almost finished now. Next weekend we are doing the floor and building the deadlift platform. If I have time I will assemble the rack as well but if not that will have to wait until the weekend after. Either way I will be training almost full time there from the start of September. Interesting challenge of training alone tonight but once I got warmed up, I was good to go.

Will sort out what I'm doing with JB over the next week or so as my next meet is not until February and Mini Al #2 is due at the start of November. February is a qualifier for Europeans though so I need to be on form for that.

Wow - I didn't know there was another mini Al on the way! Congratz! Good thing your Westend barbell is almost complete as you are gonna be one busy daddy!

It's looking like I will not have another meet until next May, but I am still continuing with JB for the whole year.

Week 0+1 - Upper Body

Deep heat and band stretches

Dumbell rows
5 sets of 10
Top weight around 55kg (not sure what my dumbell handles weigh)

Incline dumbell bench
3 sets of 10 @30kg

Prone band face pulls
3 sets of 30

Hammer curls
3 sets of 15 @15kg

Tricep band pushdowns
100reps in two sets

Decent session tonight at the home gym. The gym is still a bit of a mess but I am sorting the floor at the weekend and then I can put the rack up and get back to barbell work and into the heavy stuff. Will post some pics of the work at the weekend. Back in for a light lower body session on Thursday.
