Thanks JB. I felt your pain today with a 55lbs bar and 55lbs plates, I had no idea what was loaded most of the time except that top set

Next stop 320kgs maybe even single ply

Thanks man. Biggest problem was losing upper back arch.

Wraps were quite tight today. I got probably 6 or 7 round going up, then the X then 1 more at the top to secure. That's with a 2m.

My second session with the Darkside crew and my first squat session out of a monolift and it couldn't have gone better. I have a couple of basic things that I need to work on: take air before unracking and hold it, descend slowly opening knees to go straight down and when I explode out of the hole I need a stronger upper back to keep me upright. Still 275 is more weight than I've ever even held before and it moved well. It is also my end of year competition goal and I have already hit it with straps down on my first session with the crew. I need bigger goals

Assistance was very hard. It is mentally and physically. Tough to stay tight with a long pause when everything hurts. All in all I think we lifted for 3.5 hours. Great fun. The guys are getting ready for GPC worlds at the end of September so I am going to try to get down there again to help hem on the run in around mid-September. They are a great group and I learned a lot today. I will be working with them more in the lead-up to my next meet which could now be a charity push/pull in December. Here's the video:

Hey Al, how do you like the x-wrap? I was experimenting last week between the standard x and the three x techniques, wanted to get your opinion on it?

I can't believe you're doing that with a 2m wrap!

I like the X over the top as it locks the wrap in place over the knee. I hate getting to the bottom of the squat and feeling the wraps come apart a little.
