And I have my first ever stretch marks at the chest/shoulder tie-in spot.

that Is awesome news for the pair of you.

I did not realise that stretch marks was caused by getting bigger through lifting until the other day, I have stretch marks on my upper inside of my arms and top of my thighs. sorry for bombarding your log with this info.

Holy cow he's got a huge head start on his peers.
My boys isn't big by any means but is above avg @ 5' 3 121 @ 12yrs old.
I got together with a few guys from another board for some training sessions it was a great time training with like minded individuals. One of the guy's son set all the mn records for PL @ age 12. He just sent me a vid of his son doing 10 reps w/250 DL they looked easy, he's 13 now.
Your son has lots of potential but that's not surprising.

Thanks Lee, you can bombard my journal any time. I've read and seen so many that get stretch marks, but I'd never had any up until now. I guess I'd just never grown fast enough. But recently I seem to be growing, mix that with old and skin and. . .

That's a huge deadlift for a 13 year old. Also, nice to see it's for moderate/high reps. We base all my son's training around reps, he's got to hit 12 to 15 reps before we increase the weight. My son hates to deadlift, so we don't do it yet, I wish he would though. But I have to keep it fun for him and I'm just tickled that the squat is his favorite lift. I will share this story with my son for motivation,thanks.
