There is nothing better than time spent with my kids. My own dad never did much except work, watch TV, and work around the house. I make it a point to teach my kids how to camp, hunt, fish, lift weights, play games, etc.

I'm not worried, fatigue and tempo can have a big effect on high reps.

Thanks Hunter, I'll be sure to check out everybody's journals today.

It was a lot of fun. We took a group of 7 boy scouts and 3 adults to Mount Diablo. We hiked, climbed rocks, cooked on fire, played capture the flag, chased raccoons out of camp, and listened to coyotes sing us to sleep.

For the main lift, I rest 30 seconds to 1 minute at the most. For the accessory lifts, I rest as long as it takes my son to finish his set. I am loving the reps and volume right now. Since our goals right now are to increase conditioning and work capacity, we try to get a lot of quality work in as little time as possible.

Nice, 1 and 3 are tough years, they are a lot of work I'm sure. My sons are 12 and 14 and completely different. My older son is a brilliant kid who is into physics, math, music, and theater. He's the kind of kid that already knows more than his teachers and drives them crazy. My younger son is more your typical 'rough and tumble' type. He loves football, lifting weights, shooting sports and girls.

Awesome Day!

Prowler Pushes
+ 50 lbs x 15 yards x 2 laps
+ 120 lbs x 15 yards x 2 laps
+ 210 lbs x 15 yards x 2 laps
+ 300 lbs x 15 yards x 4 laps

That's a total Prowler weight of 400 lbs

And what could be better than that?
Here's my son pushing that 400 lbs for 10 yards

Nice! The best thing about training kids is that they have clear minds and don't understand limits.

That's a great point, especially when they are having fun with it all.

Thanks Ravi. He will be kicking my butt some day, this kid is self-motivated.

Thanks nacho, we are having a bunch of fun with it.

Thanks for checking in and for the encouraging words for my son. I think he would workout on his own if I'd let him. I'm just happy that he lets me take control and try to teach him the correct way, the way I wish I'd started.
