It's been a very long process for him and he's been such a trooper along the way, jumping through every hoop I laid out for him in order to lift real weights. We started this two years ago, only started actual lifting this year, and only started an actual routine this week. I can't wait for puberty to hit so he can really start to take off and we can push more than just a couple of big lifts. Currently he's pushing the squat and the bench, he's just working on form with light weights on everything else.

Okay, I actually have two sons, but my older boy (14 years old) absolutely hates everything physical and athletic. He is much more of an academic type. To each their own and I'm very proud of BOTH of them. I mean who wouldn't be proud of a brain child

Yesterday was the 8th grade awards ceremony where they honor the outstanding students at the middle school. My boy absolutely blew it out of the water, I was almost embarrassed that he won so many of the awards. He won the Outstanding Student award in History, Citizenship, GPA, and was selected the Outstanding 8th grade Music Award from the district. He even won the award he wanted the most; The Outstanding Male Scholar given to the highest achieving student over-all. All totaled he won 8 out of the 12 academic awards, I'm a proud daddy.

All done bragging now. . .
