Hi guys. Not much of a workout today, because of family medical complications (my mum took a turn for the worse). An ongoing issue, and it doesn't seem to getting any better.

Well, here it is anyway:

Overhead press 62.5kg 5x3
Behind the neck press 52.5kg 2x5
Deadift 160kg 2x3
Dip +15kg 9,6
Chinup +10kg 6,5

Not what I was intending to do, is what I meant, but cheers. Just too worried, stressed, that kind of thing. Really messes with stuff.

'Straya's where I is from, mate. Opposite end of the Earth, just about.

The only time I log stuff in lbs, is when is use one of the antiquated machines (shipped over from the US, looks like) lying around in the gym. ACtually even then I someimtes try to convert anyway.

And thanks BtB - luckily, it was a minor "turn", so things are stable for now. It's a neurological condition, which means tricky and not necessarily predictable. I appreciate the kind words.

And I'm more a fan of the cold weather. Typical, eh?

On a training-related note, I really like the look of that rep goal system BtB has in a couple of programs (or more?) - it could be what I try next, for a good long while.

Thought a bit more about 5/3/1 (started a thread asking for some advice with it not long back), and realised I'm not ready to do that yet. If I ever do.

The flexibility appeals. Instead of 5x5, 3x8, etc., it's just a matter of meeting an overall volume goal. Already did this, and had goiod results, for bodyweight movements like chinups and dips actually. GOt the idea from somewhere (can't remember where).

No reason I can see for it not working well for lifts in general.

i like rep goal system, no set reps just bang out amap try to hit your goal then add weight next time.

G'day!

Hope your mother takes a turn for the better. I went down that road with my father. Not fun.

Nice work considering the circumstances.

Rep goal system is great. I used it for a while and it totally works.
